Kids Desks

With spring break behind us and summer on the way we know that studying and learning sometimes takes a back seat during summer break. Why not change that with a children's computer desk from www.KidsDesk.net. We have a large selection of customizable kids desks that are perfect for children's computers, homework, children's learning software and much more.

We know how important early childhood education is and we have seen and received some pretty amazing stories on how excited and focused children become when they have a place all their own to learn, study, research and play.

Spring Break for Children

With kid's out for spring break we have not updated our blog for awhile. It's hard to believe that it is almost April already. This year is flying! Our staff was again asked what the best thing to do for spring break that is affordable. We decided to vote on them and pick the top 5.

1. Go to a matinee movie - bring healthy snacks from the produce section
2. Rent a children's movie and invite a friend or two over
3. Go to the craft store and pick out some materials for a fun project
4. Get some friends to meet you for pizza at the local pizza shop bring a fun game with you to play
5. Go to the zoo or aquarium with a book from the library and learn fun facts about animals

Well spring for alot of us seems further away than we would like. We have noticed around the U.S. some people are even getting snow. So we thought it might be good to share some fun rainy day activities.

Fun inexpensive rainy day activities:

• Coloring books - pick a few pages and color, put them on the fridge

• Finger painting - fun and creative, get those creative juices flowing!

• Make home made play dough - use food coloring and create fun sculptures

• Build a blanket tent and read stories - Always fun at night bring a flashlight and make popcorn)

• Pick out a set of board games and create a tournament (the winner gets candy, ok everyone gets candy)

These are just some of the ideas and activities some of our staff have been doing recently to keep the kids busy. Thanks for reading our blog and supporting www.KidsDesk.net!

Fun Spring Activities

With Spring almost here it is fun to get the kids outside and having fun. It's nice to take advantage of the weather daylight saving time. If you are into gardening, get your kids involved! They will love seeing the fruits of their labor and it gives them a sense of responsibility. If you have a local basketball court or hoop around gather the family and shoot some hoops. If you have a trail close by try picking out a book at a library, then take a walk on the trail and identify some native plants and trees.

It's fun, educational and is a great way to get kids away from video games, computer and TV.

Other Activities

• Scavenger Hunt (hide some fun items and leave clues around the yard for kids to find the prize)
• Pack a picnic and go to a place that you would normally go to during the summer.
• Hide and Seek (always a blast)
• Go to the lake or river and plan a future summer time event
• Pick up litter on a street or area near you
• Take a bike ride

Anything that gets you outside is fun, good exercise and gives a much needed break to the regular winter routine. Also, you can find outdoor kid's furniture @ KidsDesk.net

Have a wonderful Spring!

Shopping for Children

Shopping for children has gotten much more difficult these past few years. With new concerns about lead paint, toy recalls, safety notices and recommendations coming from all over it has become more of a challenge to ensure your little one's safety.

We know your time is valuable and we also know that your children's safety is even more important. That is why at www.KidsDesk.net we take the time to research our products, get in touch with customers for product evaluation, stay updated on all safety notices, and ensure customer satisfaction.

Our most popular category this year is the children's headphones! We are very proud to offer the "Listening First" line from Califone. These headphones are ideal for children's educational software, kids learning language programs, classroom activities, mp3 players and much more.

We now have animal headphones featured in three very cute styles. The first is the Panda Headphone that is black and white with cute red smile. The second is the orange and black Tiger Headphones that feature pink ears and mouth. Finally the Bear Headphones which are brown and white pink ears and mouth.

All of these headphones are perfect for young students with safety as its first concern. Rugged ABS plastic ear cups withstand daily use for student safety. These headphones are ideal for story-time, library and computer uses.
